COVID-19 Patient Safety Procedures
As healthcare providers, the health and safety of our patients, staff and community are our number one priority. We understand that people are anxious about the spread of coronavirus and feel it is important to update you on how we are handling this crisis.
Hoenig Vein & Vascular continues to take every necessary measure to help keep our patients and staff safe during this time, while ensuring they get the care they need.
Hoenig Vein & Vascular is continuing to see patients, but will be asking questions as appointments are made. We are rescheduling or delaying patients with non-urgent problems, such as varicose veins or claudication (walking problems due to artery blockages). We remain open for our patients with more immediate problems, such as wounds, limb threatening artery blockages, dialysis access issues etc. If you are unsure whether to come in and be seen, call us – we are here! We do not want anyone to get sick because they held off coming to see us for a problem. Also, please tell us if you have a cough or fever, or believe you have been exposed to a known case of COVID-19. We will review your situation and work with you to make sure you receive appropriate care.
We have strict protocols for thorough cleaning of all rooms with hospital grade anti-viral cleaning solutions on a regular basis.
Upon arrival of a scheduled appointment, please call the office and let us know you are in the parking lot at the location. We will allow you to stay in your vehicle until a cleaned and private room is available for you. We have eliminated our normal wait process to follow social distancing recommendations.
We have begun offering TeleHealth visits to supplement our in-person visits. These are important tools we have utilized to minimize in-office visits, which can be conducted via phone or video on a patient’s cell phone or tablet. Please call the office if you’d like to schedule a virtual visit or receive more information about this program.
Hoenig Vein & Vascular wants to thank everyone in advance for your cooperation during this unprecedented time, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. Our main priority is the care and safety of our patients and staff.
We are here for you and will be as accommodating as is possible, making necessary changes as we continue to operate in our current healthcare environment. Stay safe and healthy!
Stephen J Hoenig, MD
